Easter weekend was a blast! Family, food, and lots of fun. Patrick participated in the egg hunt at church, where he found many eggs filled with stickers. On the ride home from church, he decided to peel and stick every one of them to his arm. Once at the house with family, he proceeded to pass each one out. So now we had a house full of adults wearing various “bunny stickers.” ….cute. (Heaven forbid it we took it off.)
Mine was losing its stick, so I decided to transfer the bunny to the back of my cell phone. I figured it would stick to the plastic case much longer than it would to my skin, thus preserving the very important sticker. It was also in a place where my munchkin would see that I still had it. Whew!
So…fast forward two days later… Patrick and I are on the road to College Station to meet with his dad when I saw the most beautiful patch of bluebonnets. I decided to turn around and get a picture while I had the chance.
I got him settled into a nice patch with a good background, and then I pulled out my cell phone. I turned the phone sideways to get a good landscape shot of the whole scene. Simply the most perfect image of spring in Texas.
Twenty plus pictures of my beautiful boy in a field of bluebonnets, and this was the ONLY one with his eyes open and smiling. When asked why his head was tilted sideways, he answered, “I was just looking at the bunny.”
